Finding Self-Love, Trust, and Confidence: The Foundation of the Laid Back Ladies Ride

Riding a snowmobile through the backcountry is exhilarating, empowering, and, at times, a little daunting—especially if you’re just starting out. That’s why I created the Laid Back Ladies Ride, a series of events designed to help women riders find self-love, trust, and confidence in themselves before even focusing on their riding abilities. I believe that when you truly love and trust yourself, everything else—including mastering your riding skills—will come naturally.

Building self-confidence isn’t just about learning to ride; it’s about discovering your own inner strength and resilience. On our Laid Back Ladies Rides, the focus is on personal growth and camaraderie. I want every rider to leave the event feeling more connected with herself, having developed a stronger sense of trust in her abilities, and with a newfound love for the sport. When you’re confident and comfortable in your own skin, the ability to ride with skill and grace will follow.

Creating a Supportive Environment

One thing I want to make clear is that I don’t like to focus on male versus female riders. We can all challenge ourselves to grow, regardless of gender. However, I recognize that some women, especially those who are intimidated, shy, or new to the sport, can benefit from an environment where they can build and grow together without any external stressors. That’s why I’ve chosen to create a space where female riders can come together, support each other, and build their skills at their own pace.

That said, not all of our group rides will be women-only. As these events grow, we may even highlight male teachers and mentors who bring valuable experience and perspectives to the table. The goal is to foster a community where everyone feels welcome and can learn from each other, regardless of gender.

Coordinated Rides Based on Your Needs

Each of our rides will be carefully coordinated based on the interest, comfort levels, and skill levels of the participants. I’m committed to ensuring that you never feel pushed into a zone you’re not ready for. However, I will provide you with tips, resources, and support to push your comfort zones in a smart and safe way. Some rides will require avalanche gear to participate, while others will take place far from the slopes, focusing on building basic skills before leveling up to more challenging terrain.
